Jefferson Fries

Potatoes have been around for a very long time.  They were being grown by the Incas of Peru thousands of years ago.  Potatoes then made their way to Great Britain at the end of the 1500s.  However, potatoes weren't popular at first and some people didn't like them because they were not mentioned in the Bible.

Thomas Jefferson first introduced French fries at the white house during a presidential dinner.  This was the first time Americans had heard of these potatoes and the rest is history.  Now, French fries are everywhere in the world and are probably more popular in America than anywhere else in the world.  Would you like fries with that?
