Chives are like onions, because they are the smallest edible onions available. They are usually sprinkled on top of a baked potato. It's hard to say what they taste like, but it just seems like something is missing when they aren't there. They go great on top of a potato that is already topped with butter and sour creme. For some reason, chives are the final touch to a perfect baked potato. Just try looking at a baked potato with those bright green chives and resist eating it.
